About Me

As a clinical psychologist, my aim is to help patients find relief from their suffering through close listening and exploration of their emotional and mental landscapes. I believe in the power of a collaborative, warm, and honest therapeutic relationship and the importance of fostering a safe and nurturing environment in which individuals can open up and grow at their own pace.

I work with individuals and couples to more effectively navigate life’s challenges, whether they involve mental health issues, relationship and career difficulties, life transitions, or identity concerns. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, depression, and personality disorders, with a particular expertise working with the LGBTQIA+ community and performing artists. My practice is inclusive, welcoming adults, emerging adults and couples from all racial, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, as well as all sexual orientations and gender identities.
My clinical approach is primarily psychodynamic, which means I help patients discover connections between problematic ways of thinking or relating and the difficulties they experience. Through deep exploration of the links between thoughts and feelings, past and present, internal experience and external situations, patients find new ways of experiencing, allowing for growth and change. I also integrate techniques from dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches when immediate symptom relief is needed. This holistic and flexible approach ensures that my patients receive the most effective care tailored to their specific needs.

Prior to becoming a psychologist, I had a successful career as a dancer and choreographer on Broadway.
